Whoops! I had to visit the post myself. I’d forgotten what it was about! Not snow at all!

That sand is really quite different than any I’ve seen.

Gorgeous! You captured so many different moods of miles and miles of white sand. With all of the trips we’ve made to the Southwest, for some reason we’ve never made it to White Sands. We’re headed back that direction in late April/early May…you’ve certainly made it look spectacularly appealing!

Piles of sand, in itself, doesn’t sound very interesting but it is stunning! Well worth a visit. I don’t think we would have gone if a fellow RVer hadn’t raved about it!

Another one on the list? What we’ve missed is the Albuquerque and/or Monument Valley balloon festival. Have you been?

Only been to NM once, at the tail end of our Route 66 trip. We veered north to Santa Fe and Taos, but didn’t get to spend enough time there. I’d really like to go back.

Tell PF you want to come and play. We have lots of fun animals out here as well- scorpions, rattlesnakes, tarantulas, coyotes, javelinas – to keep him entertained.

Oh crikey. Are you sure you want him to come and play too? He’ll pinch my bucket to stock his creepy-crawlies in and eat all the ice cream. Mumble mumble grump.

There won’t be ice cream. I’ll bring an extra bucket.

I had no idea that there were sand dunes like that in the US. Totally amazing!! It looks gorgeous … although I have to admit I’m a little uncomfortable under a ‘big sky’ like that.

It sounds like a bit of a groan – miles and miles of sand dune – but it was incredible! Why the big sky problem? Too used to clouds?

It must be one of those primal instincts to seek cover and protection from predators. Maybe I was a rabbit in another life 😉

You need some sunshine and warmth. You’re still in hibernation mode. And why wouldn’t you be with the weather you’ve had?

Yes this looks much more appealing than the white stuff outside my house. Off for a run at -14 Celsius and yes still snowing.

Your activity sounds much more reasonable 🙂 The thing with signing up for these races is apparently one has to train regardless of the weather. Go figure.
