  1. Hope you’re okay, missing your posts. And hey! I’m joining the Geriatric Gypsy roadshow as we’re selling our apartment in North Cyprus and moving to Ireland – you’ll be able to come and visit us! Had a wretchedly hot summer which convinced us to move.

    1. Nice to hear from you Mo! Good luck with your move. We moved into our new (and last!) house 5 weeks ago. No Internet yet and sooo busy with sorting everything out. Bit of a problem with my hand as well after wrist op. Hope you move goes well xx

    1. Hi Sylvia, how lovely to hear from you. We’ve bought a house in a village in Essex and moved in 4 weeks ago. As you can imagine we’ve been v. busy! Just to complicate things we’ve got no Internet signal at the house and we’re still waiting for dear old BT to connect us. When we drive into town for a signal on our phones we’re checking bank accounts, paying bills, shopping for the house online etc. To make matters worse I’ve developed a rare arthritic syndrome in my hand as a result of the op which I’m exercising madly every day to hopefully get rid of it. So . . . the blog and reading blogs has taken a back seat for now. So nice of you to think of me. How are you getting on? Hubby finished your new house yet?

    1. Thanks for asking Jo. Hand/wrist/arm a bit of a b****r. Typing difficult. Doing lots of exercises & physio. Think about blogging and commenting but . . . .
Hope to be back soon. Just reading for now xx

  2. Sorry I haven’t had time to come and admire your horizons till now, Carol. I have thought of you- seriously- but we were house moving our son, amongst other things this week. Must be nearly time for a chill but I still have the ironing before he goes back down to Leeds (then tomorrow’s walk to finish 🙂 ) Glad the wrist’s improving.

    1. NO need to apologise. I just popped over to your place for a read and realise I started to read two blogs and never finished. Bit off my game this week. Wrist is giving me h***. I’ve still got pics of Canterbury I haven’t posted. I’ll be looking out for your pit pony.

  3. Amazing! I love the white sand and the clear blue and green waters! So lovely. Wouldn’t mind being there right now as it is a heat wave here right now. Hot!

  4. The sand looks so white I thought it was snow for a moment! In reading the comments glad ot hear the healing is coming along. It seems like it has been a long recovery. Hang in there and sending all my very best for continued healing.

      1. Well I didn’t read any other blogs while away. Now that we are home the pestering has begun. I often hand wrote posts while we were on a bus, train or plane and then posted when Ms. Wifi showed herself. I love writing live so for me it is fun to share in real time. 🙂

  5. Not to mention the icing-sugar sandy beach! Mesmerising. A place where I could stand and stare for hours looking at those changing colours. And a perfectly horizontal horizon! 😀

          1. Yes, indeed I am. It’s a hiking day and I have to be on the road by 7 am. I organize everything the night before so I can sit quietly with a cup of coffee before I have to head out.

              1. You will always be welcome.
Today we saw a fox trot by my car as we were preparing to leave … as bold as could be. Shortly after we saw a Bambi look-alike peaking out at us. Of course as soon as I turned on my camera, he bounced away. Don’t know where mom was.
On the flip side, it POURED RAIN. Thank you Mr Inaccurate Weatherman.
For 18km we got hopelessly drenched and I now have the blisters to show for it.

  7. I almost posted pics of the beach at Pawleys Island where we reflect each year on what’s happened and where we’re headed. Don’t know what it is about the beach, but it does tap into something inner, doesn’t it?

  8. Can definitely see why that keeps drawing you back. And you know, it looks like snow, but you’re saying Florida…..is it sand or is it snow? Either way…it’s very peaceful subject matter!
