Hoping to see Old Faithful and Yogi Bear when visiting Yellowstone National Park, I found Old Faithful but was disappointed not to find the Bear. But better still, and to my utter delight I discovered these Vivid pools:

Yes, the west….one of those frontiers we haven’t conquered yet and know we’ll have to……do have a plan for California next year to see the Great Brain son graduate again. Am going to see what I can fit in on the way there and back…this one must happen!

I’ve come tiptoeing in here because my name is probably mud. I was lured by the promise of Boo Boo. It is one of my heart’s greatest desires to see Yellowstone before I… depart.

I really hope you find Boo Boo and get to visit Yellowstone. I’m sorry about the Jacaranda. Now I’m wondering – was I under the influence of painkillers when I ‘saw’ it? What other very large tree has purple blooms? I know Jacaranda will grow here. I’m off to Google now.

I’ve just now found time to look at my photos and there are probably enough for a Norwich walk (sigh!). I was really taken with the Cathedral, and even the art gallery add-on. I’m not great at cloisters shots (when I do find my talent, I’ll let you know) but I got a couple. How’s the arm? 🙂

Wrist is not so painful now but I absolutely CANNOT hold and use my camera. So frustrating! Post coming up when my single digit composes it and I find some appropriate Google pics. Errggh!

This is my all time favorite park!! There is just so much variety. I’m sorry you did see a bear. They really are everywhere. Love those colorful pools!!!

It’s my all time favourite too! But we had to go to Glacier to see a bear. Then . . . some time later a young bear ran in front of our car in WA (we stopped of course) and a mother bear and her two cubs ran in front of us as we were nearing the Outer Banks NC! You just never know what you’ll see, and where!

I would love to visit Yellowstone, but I have this irrational fear that it will be at that time when the volcano decides to blow for an overdue super-eruption. When I worry, I go big.
Instead I will enjoy your awesome photos 🙂
… and I’m a big Boo-Boo fan. Yogi was too annoying for me, but Boo-Boo was great 🙂

I think the whole world will be in trouble when Yellowstone blows so I wouldn’t worry about it! I have to admit when I saw the caldera outlined on the National Park map it gave me pause. It’s huge. Let’s go to the pub and not think about it.

Gilles (aka Mr Science) once told me we (in Toronto) would have about 6 hours to prepare for the future after the fallout. Plenty of time to drink myself into a “happy place” 😉

Well . . . . no. I’m done with flying. If I come back to the States it would be to visit my brothers – one in FL and one in WA. Meanwhile himself is itching to go back to to AZ. For the time being I’m happy to travel England and France – and we can drive to France! Sorry Nebraska.

No, I haven’t! I really rue that i didn’t use my time in the US to travel around the country more. but at that time any vacation days were an excuse to rush back home to meet my family and fiance. You’ll are right. I think we definitely would love it!

Thanks for the lovely photos. We saw a bear cub for a second as it darted across the road in front of us. It’s amazing how fast they can move! I was so excited; I had never seen a bear before. That was on our second trip to the most magical place on earth: Yellowstone.

Love the pools – I want to visit Yellowstone! Apparently there is a walk up that hill behind them where you get the most amazing views (being higher), and the conversations concerning Yogi, Boo Boo and the Park Ranger made me chuckle 😉

Didn’t find Yogi so I can’t help you there. The last photo is the Grand Prismatic Spring but there are amazing pools and springs and geysers EVERYWHERE! Have a great time.

Lovely shots of the pools. Yes we did see a bear, and hubby got out of the car to try for a photo. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, a ranger appeared and ordered him back into the car. 😕

It was a privilege to go to Yellowstone. It was so gorgeous we spent five days there on two separate occasions.
