  1. Carol I know I commented on this post, well I remember writing the comment. Andrew mentioned I showed up in his spam folder yesterday. I’m hoping it’s not a trend. At any rate I have been to Niagara Falls but we did not do the boat tour. It looks like those blue slickers were put to the test!

    1. I got your ‘like’ Sue but not your comment and today you have shown up as a first time commenter needing my approval before it posts! What’s happened? And just checked. Your previous comment is in spam. I have ‘unspammed’ it.

      1. yeah – well as you know – it is funny what others notice – and sometimes I htink it because we see them smaller int he reader – and so even at times different shapes or payers int he compositions can be seen – ahhhh… who knows – but I have been to the falls at least 30 times (used to live near it growing up) and have never made the maid of the mists tour – maybe someday…

        1. Haha haha! Did you know there was a Baltimore in Ontario? I didn’t til now! Looks like I hit the wrong Baltimore.
Ok. So it’s 358 miles. I guess that’s why we went to Ocean City. :-/

          1. Bahahaha! I thought so. If Baltimore were only 2.5 hours from Niagara Falls, then that would mean that NYC would only be 2 hours from me. Which means I would have been there every weekend. 🙂

  2. Awww – thanks Carol for the mention! I was thinking how inviting your photos of the falls were at a temperature somewhat warmer than -20C

I did the Maid of The Mist tour many years ago and was rather disappointed that there’s nothing to see because of the enveloping mist. Nor can you hear yourself think over the roar of the water.

I think I’d like to go back again … this time to go behind the Falls. I’ve never done that before 🙂

    1. I’d love to do that too. Himself was recovering from an ACL injury when we were there so we didn’t walk very far. I believe there are a lot of steps down to it which he couldn’t manage.
So can I come with you when you go? I’d love to see Niagara at night too with the coloured lights. Have you done that?

      1. ooo – I’d love to go with you to NF!! … and I’d like to visit at night for the lights too!
… and we could go on some winery tours while we are there 🙂

How soon can you make it? I’m free all week 🙂

  3. When we went (many years ago), the crowd was way smaller and the raincoats were black. Took some pictures that looked like an outing with a black KuKluxKlan. 😉

                1. I’d love to go again too. Especially after your health and safety research. Ours was too fleeting a visit. I remember leaning on the railing watching the American Falls and being mezmerized. I could have stood there for hours.

    1. We puttered past the American Falls and then tootled around in the horseshoe of the Canadian Falls. We didn’t go behind the Falls but did get ‘lost’ in the mist with the Falls thundering all around us. It was thrilling and a little hair-raising but not claustrophobic.
