Our truck is off on its travels without us. After a little sojourn in LA it will be taking a sea journey through the Panama Canal!

Which way now indeed?

  1. Carol, that’s wonderful! Congrats on making the decision … now you can breathe a sigh of relief and just go with the flow. Do you know where you’ll be, or is that all part of the next decision? Wishing you all the best, Terri

    1. Thanks so much Terri. We’ve narrowed it down to England or France! Maybe East Anglia, maybe Cornwall, maybe the south of France. Not quite breathing a sigh of relief yet as there is a lot to do but I think I see another travel trailer in our future, now the truck has gone to visit Europe! ~Carol

  2. How exciting! You will always be my inspiration for our decision…but I think we will keep the travels on this side of the pond, but hey who knows! I am very excited for you!!!!!

  3. How exciting, intimidating and overwhelming it must be – although you seem used to change. Looking forward to your future blogs and perhaps some insight into how you decided?

    1. Himself doesn’t want to go. I do. We’ve dragged our heels for years. I’m not sure too much insight was involved. I hope it’s the right decision. I don’t fancy a diet of humble pie for the rest of my life.

  4. Carol, Although we have had many good laughs along with you as you made this decision, I know it has not been easy. This next adventure sounds very exciting to me as we have not done much international traveling as of yet, but it is on our radar. Who knows, we may still meet up. Looking forward to your European adventures. Best to you both. 🙂

  5. Off we go on the next episode of life… truck leading the way? or do you get there before it?
I would think Europe would be quite the place to tour in summer, England, Scotland, Ireland all have their beauty as well… my daughter and her Hubbie did the British Isles thing and loved it… also Germany, Italy etc…
where ever you end up I know I’ll enjoy your posts of whichwaynow101…
The selfie…hmmmm might need to go on a diet?? LOLOL… couldn’t resist that…

  6. Oh, congratulations, Carol! How exciting that you’ve made a decision (and one that you’re very happy with, I presume). I’m certainly looking forward to your European adventures and photography. And it’s nice to know that you’ll be returning to the US to visit, if for no other reason than to color in Nebraska…

      1. You still have the map on your blog and can someday color it in! Meanwhile, I can’t wait to see the countries you color in while in Europe. 🙂

  7. Such a shiny wheel rim!! I’m a baaad car owner – my rims NEVER look like that.
It sounds like you have made your decision to abandon the US and head back to Europe? I must say I’m REALLY jealous … except in your case you will be closer to your kids. I would be farther from mine!!
Many new stories ahead I think!! 🙂

        1. We’ve only had one vehicle since we’ve been in the States and travelling around. It was impractical to have two. That will soon change – woop woop! I’ll have my own car when we’re settled and I’ll send you a photo when I get it dirty!

    1. We are on our way back to Europe. It’s only taken us seven years to decide, and we’re still not sure it is the right thing to do, or where exactly in Europe we’ll end up. Wavy Mavis or what?

      1. Congratulations on making the decision. I am certain it has not been easy. I am thinking of the many wonderful opportunities that lay ahead for you and of course being closer to your family.

        1. Thanks for that Sue. I alternate between excitement and anxiety! I’m sure it will all work out in the end. Right now we’re just watching the mercury go up and up in AZ!

          1. I think no matter where one lives there are always pros and cons. Perhaps in that you and your Hubby have the choice it makes it more difficult. I will very much look forward to your European adventures!

            1. Exactly. Too much choice. Most people don’t put themselves into the quandary that we have. Our mixed marriage – US/UK – doesn’t help, although we each want to live in the other one’s country!

  8. I like how you point out it’s a convex reflection! Too funny…did you think we would all think you are shaped like oompa loompa?
