San Antonio River Walk, one of the coolest places in the city. Another is the missions (including the Alamo). Did you get a chance to see any of them?
Yeah, it really is beautiful for Christmas. 🙂
We visited the Alamo. It was great to see such an iconic place, but smaller than I imagined. These places loom larger in our imaginations than reality, unless of course you are talking about the Grand Canyon, or Niagara, or Mt. Rushmore, or . . . 🙂
It is real pretty. They have lights hanging from the trees over the Riverwalk. My better half HATES Texas, but loved it when we were there for Christmas. I’m trying to get her down there for Battle of Flowers. But she just might make us move there lol.
That would have been amazing!!!!! Why didn’t someone suggest that while I was there?! On the other hand, I did have MORE than my fair share of marguarita pitchers. It might not have been a very good idea 🙂
Oh my god. Am I dreaming? ;D My adress is on my blog! Do not forget to mention your adress on your cards and I will be happy to send you something in return 🙂
San Antonio… The River Walk. I just did a post on this as well…!! 🙂 🙂 You and Ingrid seem to be going to the same places I have been recently! I enjoyed San Antonio very much! How about you?
We liked it too although we probably weren’t there long enough. It was good to see The Alamo, the scene of the story I’d learned, let me see, oh . . . many years ago!
A picture postcard scene. In fact, I saw a postcard of this scene, recognized the restaurant as we’d just eaten there and walked back to the bridge to take my own “postcard.”
Looks like the San Antonio River walk to me! Actually heading down that way this week.

San Antonio TX. Riverwalk. I’m guessing Market Street? To the right is the River Center Mall. I grew up in San Antonio.

Margaritas and jet skis wouldn’t be a good combination in a big open space much less that narrow crowded river!
