It seems a lot of people have seen that sign. I missed it. Shows how observant I am! I guess you know from other comments that it is Death Valley. Isn’t that a creepy name for a National Park?
Great picture! I remember driving from the Grand Canyon to Barstow, CA pulling our travel trailer. We had to watch the temps in our van which was constantly on the verge of overheating as we traveled through the Mojave Desert. Several times, we had to turn off our A/C. The poor kids in the back were melting But we made it through.
Yes of course! Death Valley is in your daughter’s back yard. There is something to be said for rolling down the car window to take a photo. Or even shooting through the windshield – bird poo and all!
Death Valley of course. I believe they also have a similar sign on Interstate 8 heading westbound. That climb is pretty steep. See you soon…..you’ve been warned 😆
I expected you to know! I guess you’ve seen it. I hadn’t noticed the sign on I8. Am taking your warning seriously and am packing my bags! Not really. 😀 I’ll be watching for you.
I saw a sign like that in the mountains in Northern Spain after a very long climb to a great elevation, also rest areas where overheating vehicles can stop and cool down!
That’s interesting! We’ve had a few cool down stops but not in Spain. I was rumbled with the very first comment on this post, but this sign was below sea level!
I don’t remember seeing them there, but there was snow at the higher elevations so I probably wasn’t looking for them! This particular sign is somewhere else. Maybe they’re all over the southwest! 😉 Thanks for your comment. 🙂
I would have said I-8 in AZ heading to San Diego but the background didn’t look right.

Yeah that will it! Did they steal one of our National Park signs?

Radiator water has a special piquant flavor that’s hard to describe…
it tastes sorta like antifreeze and rust. 😀

We’ve had a number of those uh-oh moments, sometimes due to navigator error (oops) but himself still trusts me as his SatNav!

We’ve had a couple of those moments too. I don’t know how we did it without a GPS!

I’ve been to Death Valley twice — once in August. That won’t happen again. 😉

August temps kind of limit your experience don’t they?

Beautiful but deadly! I walked for a short distance while there (like 500 yards to snap a pic) and was overheated and flushed for two hours!

You are right! I thought the background looked pretty boring. Could have been anywhere. Florida even. Hahaha. Not.

Used to have those going up the hill on interstate 8 from AZ to San Diego. It’s a long grade up the hill.
