Vinnie the Vulture posed for me in the parking lot of the Everglades National Park. Look at that face. Adorable may be over the top but you have to admit he is kind of cute!
I trust that guy didn’t chow down in your windshield rubber. Those Everglades vultures can make a mess of a visitor’s car and our last trip there the Park Service had put out blue tarps and bungies to throw over your CAR to keep them from pecking the bejesus out of that rubber and your wiper blades.
Cheers,
Peter

No he didn’t eat our wiper blades and there were no blue tarps that day. Maybe they weren’t hungry or maybe I gave him the evil eye and he told his mates to leave our car alone!

🙂 — Dunno… when we were there they were giving the car owners the evil eye! We saw some that were 8-12 birds on a car! 🙂

He really is cute!! But I’m prejudice I grew up in Miami and would watch them floating on the thermals.

Wouldn’t you just love to be able to do that? I often dream that I can fly. It’s always disappointing to realize I can’t when I wake up! 😆

Yes, I would love to do that, just glide above the world.

Great shot. I wasn’t so keen on these fellows when they were circling me on our cycling trip in Spain. Not exactly a confidence inspiring event. 🙂

To me, he looks like he’s wearing a sort of “pull it over your head” type of mask! I wonder what he really looks like under there????

I hadn’t thought of that. Was he about to go on a bank heist?

You’re just immersed in birding at the moment. I can see why. Your ‘cute’ vulture pic reminded me of my cutie! Will look out for Tuesday’s post.
