Thank you. Nice to meet you too. It was a birthday photo complete with Hawaiian lei and mimosa while stuck in Kingman AZ with a broken air conditioner.
Self conscious he was not! He stood his ground (bridge) and dared me to walk right up to him. Nice, though, that he stood still and posed for me as my camera isn’t good with action shots!
Cute…..I’ve decided I need a new camera to shoot all these birds. Al’s not buying it….figuratively and literally. Still waiting for more FL photos from your trip!
That is a gorgeous bird! (Aside from the knees, but my knees aren’t looking that great lately, either, so who am I to criticize?)
How tall are those birds?
Looks like the Great egret (Ardea alba) ..?? and I’ve just finished taking photos of the Little egret (Egretta garzetta) to post on Monday… as for your words on the photo.??… I LOVE THEM….
You made me post it early to keep up with the “Jones” or “whichwaynow101s” so it should be there for you to see… I even linked to your blog, what a wonderful person I am…
Nobody wants to shout the odds for me so I have to do it myself… I keep telling my wife how great I am and even after 40 years she still needs reminding….
Lovely shot. He does seem to be quite the showoff! 🙂

Up to 40 inches! He just stood there on the railing of a bridge and gave me the eye as I walked right up to him.
